What do I need to bring to my first class?
For your first class we recommend coming in about 5-10 minutes early so we can show you around the studio, introduce you to your instructor, get you set up in the class, and discuss any questions you may have.
Wear comfortable clothing. No shoes or socks are needed while in class. We will be barefoot. While shoes are not required for our cardio classes, some clients like to wear tennis shoes for the HIIT+Barre and Barre+Kickboxing classes.
We provide the mat, bands, balls, and any other equipment you may need during class. You can bring a water bottle and towel. You're also welcome to bring your mat if you prefer to use your own. There is a water fountain at the studio.
What benefits can I expect from taking a Pilates, Yoga, or Barre class?
Where is Green Bird Fitness located?
We have expanded and moved to a new location (effective November 19, 2016)! We are still located in the Texas Compound Shopping Center off of Highway 290 West. It's the shopping center with the old trains and train depots. Look for an old green Texaco building with a large wraparound porch.

Do you have specials for new clients?
All new clients can take unlimited classes for 7 consecutive days for just $27! We also have a New Client 10 Class pack for. To take advantage of these specials simply click the "Book a Class" tab which takes you to our online store and class scheduler. Once you make an account you will be able to purchase the packages in the system!
How long does a class last?
Each class runs for 60 minutes.
What is your cancellation policy?
Currently, there is no penalty for late cancels or no shows.
Beginning September 1, 2019 we will implement a new late cancellation/no show policy for group classes. You can cancel a class reservation up to an hour before the class start time without penalty. Early morning classes (5am, 5:30am, 6am, and 7am) must be cancelled by 8pm the night prior to class. All late cancels and no shows will be lose the class credit on their class package. Late cancels and no shows will be charged $10 for unlimited memberships.
All private sessions must be cancelled 24 hours prior to the reservation time. All late cancels and no shows will be charged for the private session.
Where can I park?
There is ample parking around the studio. There are 3 spots in front of the studio building. You can also park alongside the train car and alongside the Texaco building.
How do I book a spot in a class?
You can book a class via our online class booking portal. You can click on the Book A Class link at the top of the Green Bird Fitness website and the link will take you to the Green Bird Fitness MindBody Online Scheduler. Enter your first and last name to create an account. Once you click "Next" you will be taken to a new page where you can enter your email address, a password, other contact information, and agree to the terms of the liability waiver. Click "Create Account" and you are ready to start scheduling classes.
All of our classes are listed in the MindBody Online Scheduler. You can click "Sign Up Now" next to any class to reserve your spot. If you do not have a class package you can purchase one through this same system under the "Online Store" tab.
If you have any further questions about booking a class feel free to call or email. We also accept drop-ins. Just coming on in to the studio at any class time is also an option.
Can I drop in for class?
Of course, you can! Don't let a class reservation stop from you coming to class if your schedule allows. We highly recommend you check the schedule on Mindbody or give us a call before dropping in to ensure there are open spots in class.
Class reservations are required for the Sunday 9:30am Pilates-Barre Mix class. This class sells out every weekend.
Can I come to class if I have never taken a Pilates Mat, Yoga, or Barre class?
Absolutely! The classes are designed for all levels. The instructor can give you modifications based on any injuries or limitations you may have. Take breaks when you need to and work at your own pace. Give yourself 3-6 classes to get used to the technique, quick transitions, and the different types of exercises. It takes time to learn new exercises.
Do you offer Family classes?
Yes, we do! The Family classes vary in formats from Family Yoga to Mommy and Me Barre. These classes are typically on Sunday afternoons at 2pm. You can check our homepage or the class schedule page to see when the upcoming Family classes are taking place. We've updated the pages to showcase large banners with dates/times, so you can see when and where with ease.

Do you offer childcare?
No, we do not currently offer childcare.
Can I take class if I am pregnant?
As long as you are cleared to exercise by your doctor or healthcare provider then you are welcome to take any of the classes we offer. There are prenatal modifications that can be offered for any of the classes. Just let your instructor know and they are happy to help you tailor the workout for your needs.

We also offer Lite and Intensive Teacher Training Programs for those that would like to train to become an instructor, but have little to no teaching experience. Our Green Bird Lite Pilates Mat Teacher Training Program takes place Saturday June 8th, 9am-5:30pm. Our Green Bird Barre Teacher Training Program takes place June 29-July 21.
