Stephanie Limb

November Client of the Month: Stephanie Limb

We are so excited to highlight Stephanie this month! She has been a loyal Green Bird for over a year now and taken over 225 classes. Wow! We love Stephanie's ability to kick burpees in the face every Barre+Kickboxing and HIIT+Barre class she's in. She always comes in to class ready to work it out. Read below to learn more about Stephanie's love for One Direction and why she thinks there should be a Green Bird Book Club!

Where are you from? If you’re from outside of Texas what brought you to Texas?
I was born in Nottingham, England. My dad’s job brought us to Houston in the early 1980s. I moved to the East Coast for college and adulthood but then came back to Texas to raise our girls in a less stressful environment.
What’s your day job?
I’m vice president of advocacy communications at the Texas Hospital Association.
Do you have a personal motto or something to keep you motivated when things get tough?
Suffering is the origin of consciousness. – Fyodor Dostoyevsky
It’s Texas so we have to ask…if you were stranded on adesert island but had the choice to have tacos or barbecue which one would you bring with you?
I’d probably starve. I don’t eat BBQ because I’ve been a vegetarian for 27 years, and weirdly, I don’t like tacos because I have the food issues of a 5-year old and don’t like different foods touching each other.
If you could have a dinner party with any famous people, living or dead, who would they be?
Princess Diana, Jean-Paul Sartre, Anne Boleyn, Wallace Stegner and Bill Clinton.
What do you like most about Green Bird Fitness?
I love the ass-kicking workouts (can I use that word?) but also the no judgement, low maintenance, genuine environment and instructors. Also the One Direction playlists.
Where is your favorite place to travel to?
What’s your favorite “treat yoself” thing to do when stress gets high?
Sit in my “leave-me-alone” chair on our back porch with a glass of wine. Or two.
What’s the last good book you read?
I can’t pick one. In the last couple of years, I have been in awe of A Little Life, Wolf Hall and The Shadow of the Wind. Speaking of good books, I think we should start a Green Bird Fitness book club.
What’s on your bucket list?
Open a wide-open, free-range animal shelter for rescue cats and dogs. Write a novel. Learn French. Own a thatched roof cottage in rural England. Meet Prince Harry.
